BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

 

Two Indonesian men have been brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for Immigration offences.

 

34 year old, Anwar Akad was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment and 3 strokes of the cane for overstaying in the country after his special pass expired for 1597 days. He was detained at a rented housed in Kampung Salambigar, Jalan Muara on the 30th of January during 'Operasi Cantas.'

 

While, 61 year old, Hari Ram was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment for overstaying in the country after his work pass expired for 2204 days. He was detained at a rented house in Jalan Pasir Berakas on the 31st of January during 'Operasi Cantas'.
